Mountain Greenery Cabins is located on 25 acres of a densely wooded foothill in the Northeast Georgia mountains. We are a short drive from Alpine Helen and the historic Sautee Nacoochee Valley.

Location:
Seven miles north east of Helen, Georgia (10 minute drive to Helen). We
are on the northern rim of the Sautee Valley and about five miles from Unicoi State Park. We
are also one hour and forty-five minutes from the airport in Atlanta, Georgia.
Directions from Atlanta (by I-85):
Take I-85 North until you reach I-985 North to Gainesville. You stay on
I-985 for about 25 miles and then exit at US Hwy 129 (exit 22). Go left at the light on 129
North. You will be going through the center of Gainesville. Stay on US Hwy 129 North for about 30
minutes, until you arrive at Cleveland. Go 1/2 way around the circle in Cleveland and
continue straight on US Hwy 129 North for only about 1/8 of a mile. Turn right on GA Hwy 75.
You will see a sign for Helen, GA and Unicoi State Park. Do not take GA Hwy 75 Alternate.
The Gateway Inn is at the intersection of US Hwy 129 North and GA Hwy 75. Stay on GA Hwy 75
for about eight miles. Go right on GA Hwy 17 South. The Indian Burial Mound will be on your
right (a mound with a gazebo on top of it). If you get to Helen you have gone too far and
must turn around. Stay on GA Hwy 17 South for 2.5 miles and go left on GA Hwy 255. There
will also be a sign for Moccasin Creek State Park and Clayton, GA. You will see the Old
Sautee Store at the corner of GA Hwy 255 and GA Hwy 17. Stay on GA Hwy 255 for 3.8 miles
(be careful not to take Skylake Road). Mountain Greenery Cabins is on the left. You will see
our sign on the left at the entrance to Mountain Greenery Cabins.
Directions from Atlanta, GA (by GA Hwy 400):
Take I-285 to GA Hwy 400 North. Take GA Hwy 400 all the way till it
ends, which then becomes a country road called Long Branch Road. You go about five miles and
turn right onto GA Hwy 52 East (if you turn left you go into Dahlonega, GA). Take GA Hwy 52
East to Cleveland, which is about 11 miles (GA Hwy 52 East becomes GA Hwy 115 East, but it is
the same road). When you arrive at the red light in Cleveland, go left around the circle and
follow the signs for US Hwy 129 North for 1/8 of a mile. Take a right turn onto GA Hwy 75
towards Helen, GA. Do not take GA Hwy 75 Alt (you will see signs to Helen and Unicoi). There
is also a sign for “Ma Gooch's Restaurant”. Take GA Hwy 75 towards Helen for about eight miles
and turn right on GA Hwy 17 South. The Indian Burial Mound willbe on your right (it is a
mound with a gazebo on top of it). You will see a sign for Clarkesville, GA after you turn.
Stay on GA Hwy 17 South for only 2.5 miles and go left on GA Hwy 255. There
will also be a sign for Moccasin Creek State Park and Clayton, GA. You will see the Old

Directions from Greenville, SC (I-85):
After crossing the GA-SC state line go about 12 miles and exit at the
Lavonia, Toccoa, Helen exit (exit 173). Go left at the stop sign towards Toccoa on GA Hwy 17
North. Go 10.5 miles and take a left onto GA Hwy 17 North toward Cornelia (there is a sign
for Helen). Go 10.5 miles on GA Hwy 17 North (through 3 red lights) and veer right onto GA
Hwy 17 North towards Clarkesville and Clayton. Go toward Clarkesville through light about 5
miles, veer right (past the Homestead Inn) on GA Hwy 17 North. Go through the light, past
Hardee’s and into town. Go into town square (one mile or two) and take a left at the light,
on GA Hwy 115 and GA Hwy 17 (sign for Helen). Go 1.5 miles and veer right on GA Hwy 17 North
towards Helen. Go about 7 miles and at the Old Sautee Store take a right onto GA Hwy 255.
Stay on GA Hwy 255 for 3.8 miles
(be careful not to take Skylake Road). Mountain Greenery Cabins is on the left. You will see
our sign on the left at the entrance to Mountain Greenery Cabins.
Directions from Athens, GA :
Follow US Hwy 441 North and exit at Helen-Cornelia. Go left on
US 441 North Business District. Take GA Hwy 105 to GA Hwy 17 North and turn left. Stay on
GA Hwy 17 North until you arrive at the Old Sautee Store. Take a right onto GA Hwy 255.
Stay on GA Hwy 255 for 3.8 miles
